The BaLauGi was created in order to be able to play baroque lute works in an absolutely original way with guitar technique.

The tuning is exactly the same as that of a 14-course baroque lute, so it can be played directly from the original tablature. The lute suite BWV 998, which requires a contra-G, can also be played without restrictions. Due to the many strings, the sound and the resonance are very similar to a baroque lute.
